About Ron Cushman

Ron Cushman is the driving force behind NDTC. He has been acting since the age of nine in all types of entertainment. His first stage role was that of Oliver Twist at age 12 in a community theatre production of Oliver! From there, he took off on a roller coaster ride into the world of theatre.

Ron has been acting, directing, writing, singing, planning, designing and clowning ever since. He has had numerous professional roles across the country, he has directed over 50

productions both professional and non in over 20 states.

He has been an extra in such films as "Sister Act", "Fried Green Tomatoes" and "Coal Miners Daughter". He is also an

accomplished "Indie" film actor in such films as "The Bell Witch Haunting" and "Nightmares from the mind of Poe",

both of which were Willing Hearts Productions. Ron is a

professional make up artist and even designed the "Zombie"

make up for "Poe".

He is also an accomplished writer. He has penned such shows as "When we all get to Heaven" (The gospel musical) "Kozmic Blue" the

Joplin tribute, " and most recently "Friday the 13th...the musical?"

His set designs and scenic art work have also been featured in some Off Broadway productions such as "The Glass Heart"

and "Ambrosia" both by playwrite Norman Giles.

Ron is a person who has been said to have a heart bigger than his body and is well known for his acting classes and

assistance in several charities. Ron is known for his kindness and professionalism and has been called by some..."The most thorough director in Tennessee.
