About Our Staff

Ron Cushman has been acting since the age of 9. He has been seen on national television, off Broadway and on professional and non-professional stages across America.

A graduate of the University of Tennessee, Ron has spent the past 30 years directing and acting in all forms of entertainment. He is well known for his "Imagination Theatre" workshops for children ages 7-16 and his comedic timing

workshops for adults. Ron has directed shows for The Junior Service League, The

American Cancer Foundation, The Make A Wish Foundation and more.

His expertise lies in musical comedy but he has also directed award winning dramas, as well. In 2002, Ron completed "Kozmic Blue, the Janis Joplin Interview" which recieved critical acclaim in 2004, as best original musical in a non professional venue. He can also be seen in the recent motion picture,

"The Bell Witch Haunting". His acting credits include: Seymour, "Little Shop of Horrors", Mr. Thorkelson, "I Remember Mama", Rev David Lee, "The Foreigner"

Rev Oglethorpe "Smoke on the Mountain", Marvin Shellhammer "Here's Love",

Remy, "Ken Hill's Phantom of the Opera" and many more.

His directing credits include: Wizard of Oz, Annie, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Crimes of the Heart, Phantom of the Opry, I Remember Mama, Cinderella,

Grease, The Odd Couple, Canterville Ghost, Smoke on the Mountain, Greater Tuna, The Haunting of Hill House, Steel Magnolias and more.

Jean Cushman is Ron's mother and has been a business manager and book keeper for over thirty years. She is also a part time interior decorator and floral arranger. She joined together along with Ron's father, Robert Cushman who is a master carpenter and effects designer.

He has also been in business management and food service for over 40

years with H.G. Hills stores. Together, this family is striving to create a

professional, family style theatre that will set a precedent in the Nashville

theater community.

Wilson Reed: (Set design and prop master) Wilson has been in local community theatre for quite some time. he has worked with the late Dennis Ewing (Actors Playhouse, Intercity Dinner Theatre, Poverty Playhouse.) and most recently as board member and director for Lakewood Theatre Company.

DeAnn Russell:(Stage manager, female lead.) DeAnn is a school teacher and an actress. She has been seen in numerous productions on our stage and has worked in several theatres including (Stage One Performing Arts School,

Lakewood Theatre, The Celidh Dinner Theatre and the Sumner County Theatre Guild.) She is also a student of Alan

Dysert school of acting.

Jaque White: Assistant director / sound tech / second female

lead. Jaque is a jewel of a person. She is a directors dream

and the perfect assistant. She is trained in dancing, singing,

acting and she works for a local hospital. She is great with kids too.

Sean Grace: Lighting Tech and stage tech. Sean is soon to be a graduate of Hunter's Lane Highschool and is furthering his knowledge of the performing arts by working with us.
